Basketball, Volleyball & Soccer

RRC’s men’s and women’s volleyball, basketball and soccer teams compete in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC). The Rebels are coming off of a very successful MCAC 2010-11 season!! The men's volleyball team went undefeated in league play and won the MCAC Championship for the fourth year in a row. The men's basketball team also won a third consecutive MCAC championship, and the Women's team finished 2nd. Team selection camps for volleyball, basketball and soccer are held in September of each year. The soccer season ends with the MCAC Championships in October. Both the volleyball and basketball seasons conclude with the MCAC Championships in March.

Our athletics program is aimed at helping students develop excellence within the context of highly competitive intercollegiate sports – while at the same time becoming a well-rounded student-athlete. College athletics helps create and foster school spirit at Red River College, and also contributes to our vision of a dynamic college with a diversity of programs!

Women Prevail Against UW, Men Come up Short

This weekend the UW College visited RRC in MCAC volleyball action. The lady Rebels were victorious 3-2 and 3-0 in Friday and Saturday's matches.

The men weren't as fortunate. They were defeated by the UW team in 5 sets on Friday and 3 straight sets on...

 
Rebels Basketball Starts the Second Half with Wins!

The men's and women's basketball teams both got convincing wins Wednesday night against Providence University College! The women took their game 60-27 while the men came out on top 88-54.

By the standards of past seasons, this has been the most competitive year yet for the four-time champion Red River College men’s volleyball team.

At the end of Week 11 though, they finally reclaimed the spot they’ve owned for so long - the top in the conference....
